The Atlantic Ocean, covers about 25% of the Earth's surface making it the second largest Ocean in the world. The deepest point in the Atlantic ocean is 8,605 meters but on average, it is about 3,339 meters deep.

A fun Fact: According to Campliveoakfl.com, Atlantic comes from greek mythology, it translates to 'Sea of Atlas ' Atlas was a titan and it is said he is on the edge of the earth and holding heaven up on his shoulders.

The Pacific Ocean

The Pacific Ocean is the biggest ocean on Earth, covering up to 30% Of the Earth's surface. Sure enough because of it's size, it holds a lot creatures, landscapes, in fact 75% of Earth's Volcanoes are located in the Pacific Ocean.

Fun fact: The name Pacific comes from the Latin word 'Peace'. It was named a peaceful due its somewhat peaceful waters ( we all know the waters aren't always peaceful)

The Arctic Ocean

The Arctic Ocean is the shallowest and the smallest out of all the oceans. It is about the size of Russia or about 8% of the Pacific Ocean ( even though it's "small" it is still massive).

Fun fact: The Arctic Ocean is covered by an ice cap so it is a haven for fish/ marine life. There is actually more fish in the Arctic Ocean than anywhere else on earth
